Honorable Richard F. Ngafuan is a seasoned statistician, demographer, and educator, and is currently the Director General of the Liberian Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS). He holds a BSc in Demography and Social Statistics from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in Nigeria an M.A. in Demography from Makerere University, a Master of Science, and an Executive Master (blended) in Applied Labor Economics for Development at the University of Turin and the University of Paris.

He had had and maximized the honor and privilege to serve in the Ministry of Labor as an Assistant Minister for Statistics and Research, he served as Senior Demographer and Assistant Director at the Liberian Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information amongst other reputable organizations. He has been a consultant and resourceful educator at various levels, contributing his knowledge and service to society and humanity. He has participated in workshops and training that cut across endeavors and fields of knowledge. Mr. Ngufuan has served as a part-time lecturer in prestigious tertiary institutes of the country, including the University of Liberia, Cuttington University, and Stella Maris Polytechnic University respectively. His publications can be found in reputable journals and online platforms.
